Kevin O'Callaghan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
After graduating from Trinity College, Kevin began his career in 1983 with HRH Construction and subsequently Hunter Partners. He joined UBS in 1986 and became President and CEO in 1991. Under Kevin’s leadership, UBS opened offices in Washington, D.C., Canada, and the U.K. His most memorable projects include the AOL Time Warner Headquarters N.Y.C., The Washington Monument, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Grand Central Terminal.
Chris Evans, President, Chief Operations Officer, Professional Engineer
Chris has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years, beginning his career with Aluma Systems in 1989 before joining UBS in 2000. He oversees the daily operations of the company and is involved with corporate, field, and yard operations. Chris holds degrees from the University of British Columbia and Columbia University, and is a registered Professional Engineer.
Nizar Danial, P.E. Vice President and Engineering Manager
Nizar has worked in the engineering and construction industry for over 20 years. Nizar joined UBS in 2011 he is responsible for all UBS engineering productions such as design, calculations, details, permits, inspections and sign offs on our projects. Mr. Danial holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College. Mr. Danial is a registered Professional Engineer in eight states.
Jacques Donovan, Vice President of Fabrication
Jacques started with UBS in 1987, overseeing fabrication and purchasing of all equipment and materials for the company. Mr. Donovan also runs the UBS Red Hook, NY Yard, managing inventory, the fleet, and DOT requirements. Mr. Donovan studied Drawing at SUNY-Dutchess and completed a 5-year apprenticeship with Federal Products in machining and fabrication.
John Curry, National Sales Representative
John has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. Throughout those years, he has held positions from Journeyman, Foreman, General Foreman and Operations Manager. His responsibilities ranged from recruitment, training, and development of all field personnel; resolution of jobsite design issues; and safety and coordination of personnel and material on all projects. John is a Certified Rigging Instructor, supervising projects from inception to completion including the Washington Monument, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Grand Central Terminal, and Union Station. In 2019, John was appointed to lead UBS's new Partnership Program where he will be working in various U.S. markets to promote UBS Hoisting and Access Solutions on a national level.
Luiz Espinoza, UBS Operations Manager
Luis Espinoza joined UBS in 2007 has risen through the ranks from Journeyman to Foreman then General Foreman in 2015 and is currently UBS’ Operations Manager.
Luis oversees all UBS projects, coordinates scheduling with Yard & Field operations. Works closely with Engineering on design issues. Luis is a DOB Site Safety Manager and a licensed Certified Rigger with 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
Bridget Cicero, Project Administrator
Bridget joined UBS in 1988, and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Bridget handles all the administrative and office needs for the Construction Division, supervises and assists with field personnel, obtains all necessary permits from the NYC Department of Buildings, acts as the insurance liason, and manages customer service. Bridget holds a Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College.
John Evans, President, UBS Canada
John has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years beginning his career in Toronto, Canada in 1987. John has specialized in Project Management within various industrial markets including Petrochemical, Offshore and Shipbuilding. UBS Canada was launched in 2012, with John overseeing all aspects of the Canadian office’s operations as President since its inception. UBS Canada services the Industrial and Petrochemical marketplace in Alberta, Canada.
